SEA OF LOVE, PART 2

Come with me my love
To the sea, the sea of love
I wanna tell you
How much I love you

Do you remember when we met?
That's the day I knew you were my pet
I wanna tell you
How much I love you

Come with me to the sea of love.

When I was pregnant with Henry, I listened to Sea of Love. It was kind of our song, me and that little thing inside me. I sang it to him and he would go still, and when I stopped singing, he'd kick for more. I wrote a post about it here.

With his rather stressful delivery, I hardly had time to think about singing songs to him. But on the day we were leaving the hospital, me holding him while being wheeled into the lobby, our song played.

Since we brought him home, I sing him the song when he's too fussy to latch, and he immediately quiets and latches. I sing it when we're laying on the couch together, and he quickly lulls to sleep. I don't know if it's the song or just my voice that he responds to, but it touches my heart that I can sing him "our" song and he feels happy because of it.
