The Minimum

Everyone has days where accomplishing amazing feats is impossible, or at least feels that way. Sometimes all you want to do is lounge around, watch Ugly Betty, and eat chocolate chips out of the bag, while your husband is at work, making money and thinking highly of you.

I know those days occur quite often in my house. I've discovered that if nothing else gets done, there is a minimum of tasks that make my day seem a little less wasted.

1. Get out of bed.
2. Shower, if needed (let's be honest, this one isn't always mandatory)
3. Make your bed
4. Put clothes on (make-up is not always necessary)
5. Do the dishes
6. Run a vacuum around
7. Pick up a few items that aren't in their place
8. Leave the house, even if it's only to go for a quick walk and get the mail
9. Eat something that's not junk
10. If the hamper's full, throw in a load of laundry. It literally washes itself, so it's not like it requires a lot of effort.

Bonus: get dinner on the table. When you're husband gets home, he'll think you spent all day cleaning and cooking, when in reality, it only took about an hour. Feel free to use the other 7 hours how you like. Try not to turn into Ugly Betty.
