Mother Knows Best

The older I get, the truer the words. I started reading The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy, and there was an excerpt I liked.

On sharing your pregnancy with your mother:

"This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship because it is the official transformation from being Mommy's little girl into being another woman, almost equal in stature. You, too, are going to be somebody's mother."

I realized while reading it that my Mom's birthday was a few days ago, and though she doesn't read this blog because of vision impairment, I always do a little tribute to my family members so that those who do read will know they were remembered.

If you look at this birthday post, you'll see that in the early '90's, matching outfits, preferably Laura Ashley or another floral designer, were the way to go.
