US LATELY

We've been going on lots of walks lately. Henry's been a little restless lately, and I have a hunch there may be some teeth on their way, so we've been getting out of the house to keep from feeling cooped. The weather was crazy sunny for a while, and then it got all Oregon-y and wonderful, and we were even blessed with a little rain (which we needed to keep our produce prices low). Henry has officially graduated to sitting upright in the stroller when we go on walks. He is very contemplative. He enjoys things, but on a mild level. You have to work really hard to get a laugh or a smile, and it's short-lived if you do. Tough crowd.

I took a week off from blogging to spend some time with family, and had an unexpected surge of creativity. We drove up for a few days and visited my sister who is recovering from major hip surgery, my brother, and my parents. I got a lot of work done on a quilt I'm working on for 25 projects, read some of a new book, and even wrote a bit! Oh, to not have to worry about groceries and housework. I'd craft and nurse all day long.

On our way home, we visited Elyssa and Juniper Jean the Jumping Bean (#hennyandjoon), had lunch, and let our babies thumb each other in the eyeballs. I decided that living far away from friends is not good.
