The Yellow Deli

In Vista, there's this restaurant run by a commune of super earthy, religious people, and i love them. I went there last night with Conrad and Ian [please, Ian, just follow]. We got the same thing we got last time, and then I ate 7 Tums, and then i had an embarrassing blow-out. That's right, i was in and out of the bathroom several times, for 10 minutes at a time.

Ian's family grew up with Conrad's family, so they've been friends for a long time. A little over a year ago, when we were in Upland, Ian came to live with us while he was doing a job. It turned out to be such a blessing. Ian left really early in the morning, then Conrad left for school at like 7, then I would go to school. Then I would get home, then Ian, and Conrad usually had to go to work until 9 or 10 at night. It would have been so depressing for me to have always been alone, so I was really glad that Ian and I could hang out. Ian and I have a love of cooking in common. I'm particularly grateful for Ian. He's been a really good friend to me ever since then.

This morning I felt a lot better than last night, and went to French class. These two guys, who are my French partners, both decided not to show up, so I got a lot more learning done.

I'm grateful today for education. Not everyone wants one. Not everyone needs one. But I'm really thankful that I'm able to get one.

I'm also thankful for RIT dye. Without it, these two items, previously white, would have gone unused in my closet.
