MEALS/march

I think I've come up with a new system for posting recipes on the blog. If I have an awesome recipe, I'll be posting it on Saturdays, that way I don't post too many each month (I'm limited to five at the most), and the recipes don't use up days when I'd rather talk about other stuff. We'll see how it will work out.

At the beginning of the month, I planned out all our dinners, including nights we'd eat out or have leftovers. I bought all our groceries in the first week of March, which stung a little, considering half my monthly budget was gone in the first week. It worked out fine since that's how much I would have spend either way, and we spent less money eating out because I had planned our meals and didn't want to waste any groceries.

I cook at home four or five times a week, and the rest of the time we eat leftovers or go out. Here are some of the recipes I used this month, and as always, if something sounds good and there isn't a link for a recipe, leave a comment and I'll post one!

Stuffed peppers with veggie sausage
Crockpot cordon bleu
Cheeseburger pie
BBQ chicken chopped salad
Mango curry salmon with mixed green salad
Tuna melts
Artichoke frittata and chicken apple sausages
Crockpot maple dijon chicken with veggies and garlic bread
Spaghetti squash with meat sauce
Spicy Thai noodles with chicken
Chili and cornbread
Buffalo chicken pizza
Pesto ricotta chicken pizza (it's this basil ricotta pizza, but with pesto)
Shepherd's pie
Lemon chicken with broccoli
Salmon steaks on rice and veggies
